'Satisfy Your Mind' Single Launch - Clay Brown & the Trouble Round Town
Join ‘Clay Brown & the Trouble Round Town’ at The Bird on Saturday January 31st to celebrate the release of new single ‘Satisfy Your Mind’. Featuring members Clay Brown (MAGE/King Proteus), Jess June (The Tommyhawks), Zoe Gol (Single Cell Sharks) & Michael Menna (Art of Dysfunction), the band will perform a live & electric headline set of original indie blues and folk rock, with support from ‘Don’t Tell Daisy’ & ‘Navisha’s Music’.
The blues-soaked indie-rock tune ‘Satisfy Your Mind’, releasing Friday January 30th to streaming, speaks to the universal struggle with social media, encouraging listeners to focus on their individual journeys rather than getting caught in the endless cycle of comparison and doomscrolling. Musically the track is influenced by artists like Red Clay Strays, City & Colour and Jeff Buckley, with moody indie melodies over a blues rock groove and a country-infused bridge that has become a staple of the band’s releases.
In 2025 ‘Clay Brown & the Trouble Round Town’ released their first two singles as a band ‘All My Friends’ (April) and ‘No Place’ (October) with radio spins across Australia including ABC Country & RTRFM, aswell as press coverage on Scenestr, Sounds of Oz and Australian Music Scene (AMS). With festival spots and numerous gigs all around Perth under their belt, the band now have studio time booked to finalise their debut EP for a release in 2026.
