Star of stage & screen Rachael Beck takes on 20 trailblazing Australian women in a moving one woman show of female strength and achievement

IN HER OWN WORDS celebrates the remarkable lives, achievements and stories of twenty extraordinary Australian women who have shaped our culture, challenged expectations and inspired generations.

Acclaimed Australian stage and screen star Rachael Beck takes audiences on an uplifting musical journey, weaving together her own experiences with the words and reflections of trailblazing women including Ita Buttrose, Tanya Plibersek, Marcia Langton and Carlotta. Featuring music from celebrated artists including Missy Higgins, Kate Miller-Heidke, Kate Ceberano and Dami Im, this moving production celebrates stories of courage, resilience and triumph, honouring women from all walks of life who have broken barriers, overcome challenges and left a lasting mark on Australian society.

Through intimate storytelling, memorable songs and personal reflections, audiences are invited to discover the experiences behind these remarkable achievements, celebrating both the challenges these women have faced and the extraordinary contributions they continue to make.

Developed with writer James Millar and directed by Miranda Middleton, In Her Own Words is a powerful and heartfelt musical tribute to the women who have helped shape Australia's past, present and future.
