Superego play Mojo's Bar (public holiday eve)
Long weekend Sunday Feb 28 - the day before March 1st public holiday - Superego headline Mojo's Bar and have selected sublime supports Wesley Black, Sunny Flowers and Sushi. The doors open at 7PM.
SUPEREGO is undergoing a metamorphosis - wrapped in a cocoon. New sounds and feelings pull the project into 2021 with a new perspective on their place in the world. Their energetic, eclectic, emotive live show remains a fundamental piece of the project and is more relevant than ever in this new world.
2020 saw the release of their second EP, Nautilus, into a changing world trying to get a grip on covid-19. The dark, introspective recordings touch on themes of climate destruction and the black experience in Australia, featuring guests Sampa The Great and Cruz Patterson. Nautilus marks a departure for the band from traditional guitar driven recordings towards an electronic, alternative hip-hop sound. Having supported the likes of Blackalicious, Sampa The Great, Midnight Oil and Remi, the 2x NLMA winning group is growing closer to a new release and new sound in 2021.
