Rachel Hull - 6pm
Rachel Hull has been writing stories for as long as they can remember. As a folk singer/songwriter, pianist, visual artist, poet and music teacher from Boorloo, their writing themes explore the appreciation of little things, identity, disability experience and a strong connectedness with nature, inspired by artists like Birdy and Billie Marten. After 6 years of study, Rachel’s contemporary music artist graduation recital will feature an original set of immersive and heartfelt songs, as well as instrumentals with field recordings, experimental music and spoken word poetry.

Ava Charlotte - 8:10pm
Blast off on a celestial journey with Ava Charlotte at her End of Year Recital, Sun Moon Rising, taking place on November 14th at the Rosemount Hotel. This celestial-themed showcase explores Ava’s musical identity through the lens of astrology, dividing the night into three storytelling segments.
The adventure begins with "Sun," the placement which generally defines your identity, where Ava’s vibrant personality shines through in a collection of electrifying rock originals and a special cover of a cherished artist. As the spotlight shifts to "Moon," the placement of emotions, experience a deeper, more introspective side of Ava with soulful ballads that reveal her innermost emotions and stories. Finally, the night culminates with "Rising,", the placement of your external persona and a dazzling display of Ava’s innovative spirit. This segment features inventive reimagined originals, spontaneous improvisations, and a high-energy remix to end the evening on a euphoric note.
With a stellar cast of supporting musicians, Sun Moon Rising promises to be an unforgettable voyage across the musical galaxy. Join us for a night where the stars align, and the music soars.
Joshua Hayes - 9:15pm
‘Joshua Hayes Presents:
“Falling.”
Throughout our lives we seek connection. To be understood by those around us. Ultimately, we search for love.
But often we fail.
Beset on all sides by ours and others insufficiencies, we succumb to fantasy. Until you truly are in love, you’re just falling.’
Joshua Hayes invites you to his graduation recital!
“This 45-minute performance encompasses all the knowledge and skills I have developed throughout my time at WAAPA and blends it with a collection of original songs, classics and just a touch of feel-good funk. I personally draw inspiration from artists such as Stevie Wonder, D’Angelo and Allen Stone (among many, many others) and I hope you’ll hear their influence! - Josh”
