Break The Cell is a live music showcase launching for the first time in Perth, created to strengthen and represent the growing Nepali music community in the city. The event brings together locally based Nepali bands with a shared goal: to build a genuine scene rooted in creativity, collaboration, and authenticity.
The show provides a space where artists can perform as themselves — expressing their own sound, stories, and musical identity — while standing together as part of a wider community. It reflects the reality of local musicians navigating shared stages, adapting to different themes, and still finding ways to present their true artistic voice.
This event is about connection: between bands, audiences, and the evolving Nepali music culture in Australia. It aims to encourage unity within the local scene and create momentum for Nepali musicians based in Perth to grow collectively rather than in isolation.
The current edition of Break The Cell features four active Perth-based Nepali bands, each contributing their unique style and energy to the night. Together, they represent the diversity and strength of the local scene.
