WAVECULT: Wavecult is the collaborative project of Adelaide-based artists Immerse, Heidrun, and Arna. Operating less like a standard crew and more like a sonic ministry, they playfully operate as a religious organisation dedicated to the dark arts of bass wizardry. At once a sound, an aesthetic, and a ritualistic community, Wavecult conjures dark, ethereal low-end magic that spans underground genres to reach directly into the science of the soul. ​With roots in the South Australian bass music and outdoor event scenes, they run the mighty Imbolc Festival each year and have hosted international heavyweights including Mystic State, Nomine, 100 Drums, Kahn & Neek, Pav4n, Operate, and Rizle. ​Beyond their events, Wavecult has anchored the scene by tirelessly supporting both established and emerging artists. When it comes to championing bass music across the entirety of South Australia, their devotion to the craft is nothing short of cult-like. ​Theming, decor, and digital art are built around pagan themes, strongly connected to Norse belief systems and the human psyche. True to the name Wavecult, they are devoted to cultivating waves of sound that physically resonate with the environment. With Arna's background as a breathwork instructor and Psychosomatic Therapist, alongside Immerse’s expertise as a wilderness guide, they curate outdoor locations based on the raw resonance of the land. This deep connection to frequency is delivered through their very own custom-built Tordenheim Sound System, engineered and operated by Heidrun, ensuring every bassline vibrates in perfect harmony with the earth.
