And just for the occasion, from the world’s best kept secret to our toasty shores, globetrotting grandmaster and honorary Sandgroper, Kuba’97 returns to his beloved Boorloo for more weirdo dance music craic. Spinning plates with Scuba Kooba is Jazz (No, not that Jazz), co-founder of the serious music promotional outfit, Isolate. The Sydneysider and Koobz have shared a few lineups by now, not least of which last summer at the shantiest Berlin haunt, Club Der Visionaire. The sturdy-cum-quirky foundations of this trip are laid by one local doing it different: DJ Sliding Doors forms the punk-ish point of this otherwise nutty psyangle.
