Corrella - Australian Tour 2027
One of Aotearoa's fastest-rising reggae export links up with rising US stars The Elovaters - fresh off a sold-out headline show at Colorado's iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre - for a run of shows across Australia this January and February.
Corrella are set to bring the heat to Australia this summer with their biggest headline tour yet, and they're bringing serious firepower with them. Joining the New Zealand favourites for the run are The Elovaters, the Boston-formed roots-reggae outfit who've spent the past year becoming one of the hottest live acts in the US.
It's a huge coup for Australian fans and for Corrella, it's the perfect pairing. The band - fronted by rhythm guitarist and hype man Te Naawe Tupe alongside vocalists Pipiwharauroa and Ngawaiwera Campbell - have spent the past three years cementing themselves as one of NZ’s most exciting live bands. After spending a record-breaking 50-plus weeks at Number One for for breakout hit 'Blue Eyed Māori', they’ve spent the following years touring relentlessly and shared stages with the likes of UB40 and L.A.B. Armed with their latest single ‘Not I’, Corrella will return to Australia with a new collection of songs ready to go.
The Elovaters have built their reputation from dive bars in Boston into a genuine US festival and touring force - their 2018 album Defy Gravity topped both the Billboard and iTunes reggae charts, and their catalogue has now racked up over 600 million streams worldwide. Off the back of their new album Shark Belly Motel, the band played a sold-out headline show at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre before heading out on tour with Slightly Stoopid through the U. Now, they're making the trip across the Pacific for this exclusive run of Australian dates alongside Corrella.
With two acts at the top of their game - one flying the flag for Aotearoa's roots-reggae scene, the other bringing the sound of the US progressive roots movement all the way from Boston - this tour promises some of the biggest reggae-inspired shows Australia will see all summer.
