Boorloo/Perth indie rockers Streetlights are hitting the hallowed turf of The Bird to launch their brand new single "Close to Me". Joining them on the night are good friends Dune Cartel and Calico City.
Streetlights is jangly guitars and synth hooks wrapped in an indie-pop bow. Inspired by everyday suburban happenings - their music spins around your rusty hills-hoist and drives you to the beach at sunset to dip your toes in. Their songs hold a familiarity that makes you feel like they're playing especially for you in your living room. With a locally-inspired lyricism, bundled with a larrikinism and tongue-in-cheek sense of humour, Streetlights has generated a connection with audiences around Australia and are looking to bring a slice of Australia to the rest of the World.
An all gas, no brakes approach has seen them rack up 2x WAM Song of the Year nominations (for Radio National in 2026), 2 stints in the AMRAP Radio Charts Top 10, as well as sharing the stage with DICE, Surf Trash, The Stamps, and Death by Denim.
