When a naval fleet encounters an alien armada near Hawaii, humanity's greatest military technology suddenly becomes obsolete. Lieutenant Alex Hopper (Taylor Kitsch), a talented but undisciplined naval officer, must lead a ragtag group of sailors in a desperate battle against extraterrestrial invaders wielding devastating weaponry and superior intelligence. With communication systems disabled and reinforcements unable to reach them, Hopper and his crew are left with one option: use the USS Missouri, a decommissioned battleship from World War II, to fight back against an enemy that has cut off Hawaii from the rest of the world.
