The Australian Van Morrison Show
The Australian Van Morrison Show is a dynamic 7-piece band from Melbourne celebrating the legendary songbook of Irish icon Van Morrison.
Fronted by Scottish-born singer-songwriter Steve Boyd, the band captures the spirit of 1960s rhythm & blues and the soulful depth of Morrison’s most loved songs.
Touring nationally, they have played to sold-out audiences across Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Tasmania and Perth, earning a reputation for powerful musicianship and a live show that feels like a genuine celebration rather than imitation.
In 2026 the band celebrates the release of their debut single “Irish Heartbeat”, the title track from the classic 1977 album by Van Morrison and The Chieftains.
The recording honours the original while bringing its own energy and character to the song.
“People love Van’s songs. I do and I always have. We’re not copying his records; we’re just playing his great songs and having fun. Our shows are a party — a celebration.”
