Thunderbirds at The Revival House Perth

When disaster strikes anywhere on Earth, International Rescue responds—a secret organization led by billionaire ex-astronaut Jeff Tracy and his five sons, who pilot the revolutionary Thunderbird machines from their hidden island base. But while Jeff and his four eldest sons are away on a rescue mission, the island comes under attack from their greatest enemy: the villainous Hood (Ben Kingsley), a master of disguise and mind control seeking to steal the Thunderbirds' technology. With International Rescue's adult members trapped in space, it falls to the youngest Tracy brother, 14-year-old Alan (Brady Corbet), to step up. Alongside his friends Fermat (Sohus Akbar) and his crush Lady Penelope's niece Tintin (Vanessa Hudgens), Alan must prove he's ready to be a Thunderbird, save his family, and stop the Hood from using their machines to execute the greatest heist in history.

Director Jonathan Frakes brings Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's beloved 1960s Supermarionation series to live-action with colorful production design that honors the show's retro-futuristic aesthetic. The 2004 film updates the Tracy family for a new generation while keeping the core appeal: fantastic rescue vehicles, exotic locations, and heroic derring-do. Bill Paxton brings earnest authority to Jeff Tracy, while Ben Kingsley clearly relishes playing the scenery-chewing villain. The real stars are the Thunderbird machines themselves—Thunderbird 1's sleek rocket, Thunderbird 2's massive transport, and especially Lady Penelope's iconic pink FAB 1 Rolls-Royce, piloted by her faithful butler Parker (Ron Cook). The film balances genuine danger with family-friendly adventure, teaching lessons about teamwork, courage, and living up to your family legacy.
