This new single follows a prolific run of releases that have established Newport as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging voices. His last EP, SELDOM, was released only a few months ago in June. Created entirely by Newport, the EP carried on from where his last body of work, love, Dylon left off – an outlet for the raw emotions he faced as he grappled with the reality of an entirely new future, post a relationship breakdown. Now with more than 9 million streams to his name, including over 2 million on each of ‘INTERSTATE’ and ‘MAYBE I’, Newport’s constantly-evolving sound has connected with listeners worldwide, earning him the covers of Spotify’s Fresh Finds and hits different, as well as YouTube Music’s Alt-Pop Now. Earlier this year, he was spotlighted by Apple Music as an Up Next artist and celebrated as a triple j Unearthed Feature Artist.

On stage, Newport has proven just as magnetic. His debut headline Australian Tour throughout June and July saw him sell out multiple venues across the country, a testament to his rapidly growing fanbase. This evening, he’ll join Dear Sunday at The Rechabite in Perth before performing with Winston Surfshirt at Gage Roads, Fremantle in November.
