Emerging rockโ€™nโ€™roll trio Twelve Parsecs have released their first EP, The Only Thing (That Matters).

Fuelled by a passion for rock classics, Twelve Parsecs burst onto the scene in 2021 with electrifying covers, gaining viral acclaimโ€”most notably for their rendition of Led Zeppelinโ€™s โ€œBlack Dogโ€ which went viral on social media and has amassed more than 100 million views to date.

Their original compositions have taken on a vibrant identity, blending influences from iconic bands including Silverchair, Crowded House, Foo Fighters, and Led Zeppelin. Their sound balances powerful vocals with searing guitar riffs and a commanding rhythm section, delivering music that is both timeless and unmistakably their own.

After releasing two singles in 2023, Off My Shoulders and Ghost Hug, the new four-track EP is led by the title track, which won the โ€˜Schools 14 And Underโ€™ Category at the 2024 WAM Song Of The Year Awards.

โ€œThis rockinโ€™ slice of life is a live favourite of the band and showcases Twelve Parsecsโ€™ crisp musicality and songwriting dynamicsโ€ [Bob Gordon, music journalist]
