Died Pretty's "Doughboy Hollow" performed by No Flowers No Wedding Dress
Perth band No Flowers No Wedding Dress will pay tribute to one of Australia’s most revered alternative rock bands, Died Pretty, with a special live performance of their landmark album "Doughboy Hollow" which will be played from beginning to end.
Released in 1991, Doughboy Hollow is widely regarded as a high point in Australian independent rock, capturing Died Pretty at their most powerful, melodic and atmospheric. The album includes enduring songs such as 'D.C.', 'Sweetheart' and 'Godbless', and has built a lasting reputation among Australian music fans. For this special show, No Flowers No Wedding Dress will bring the complete album to the stage, celebrating the music, sound and legacy of Died Pretty in a rare full-album performance.
SPECIAL GUEST — ADRIAN HOFFMANN
Performing the songs of Grant McLennan – Solo Opening the evening will be Adrian Hoffmann, performing a solo set dedicated to the songs of Grant McLennan, the much-loved songwriter and co-founder of The Go-Betweens. Hoffmann’s stripped-back solo performance will celebrate McLennan’s distinctive songwriting and provide a fitting introduction to an evening dedicated to two important chapters of Australian alternative music.
This will be a night for fans of Died Pretty, The Go-Betweens and Australian independent music, bringing some of the country’s finest songwriting back to the stage.
