Si Mullumby
with LAILA & Asha Henfry
The River (Margaret River, WA)
Saturday, 2 May 2026 7:00 pm
As the sun sets over the Indian Ocean and the drone of the didgeridoo kicks in, there is no better place to be than right here at The River on Saturday 02 May.
This is a uniquely epic moment to come together with some like-minded folk and absolutely kick it to the didgeridoo and drums of one of Australia’s most highly regarded multi-instrumentalists, Si Mullumby.
Si Mullumby
One of the most respected didgeridoo players in the world; Si is a force to be reckoned with.
Just like the southerly ocean, Si’s energy comes through in waves. Pulses that emanate from deep inner space ripple through his multi-instrumental self and across the dance floor as people find themselves moving wildly, unwittingly hooting and hollering with absolute glee.
This is a sea of smiles, a radiant place of abundant free energy and a wholesome place inside this multi-factorial world in which we live.
With a trail of shows that wraps many times around the world, Si is an authentic modern-day troubadour of sound. He brings together drums, flamenco guitar, flute, voice & collective voice into a singular improvised voyage that will leave you cleansed from the inside out and ignite a warm glow in the centre of your chest.
The High Vibes & Good Times are here!
LAILA & Asha Henfry
As you make it through the door and enter the back area of The River, wondering what you have got yourself into, there is the lilting sound of the flute tickling your ear drums as the beats are sweeping the dance floor away.
Enter Laila and Asha, two Margaret River friends, weaving their individual artforms into a braid of groove and soaring melody.
This is the melting pot where DJ beats meet uplifting musicianship.
A regular at The River (and sighted at many a WA festival) Laila certainly knows how to get the party started. Connected to the music of the world through her Moroccan / Belgium roots Laila’s tribal beats guide your body, mind and spirit facilitating deep release with her intentional tribal resonations.
Joined by West Australian flautist Asha Henfry this is a unique collaboration. Asha brings her vibrant cross-genre self to play in this sea of beat driven groove. A WAAPA honours graduate she blends classical, jazz and world influences; specialising in Brazilian Choro. Asha has collaborated with leading artists across Australia’s Jazz & World Music scenes. The jewel of her being shines bright, enlivening hearts & minds and joining souls together.
Together they welcome you to this special evening at The River.
Come and be moved.
