Die Hard with a Vengeance at The Revival House Perth

On the hottest day of summer in New York City, a mysterious bomber calling himself "Simon" (Jeremy Irons) forces reluctant hero John McClane (Bruce Willis) back into action with a twisted game of "Simon Says." One wrong answer means innocent people die. To solve Simon's deadly riddles, McClane is paired with the last person he'd choose as a partner—Zeus Carver (Samuel L. Jackson), a Harlem shopkeeper with a short fuse and zero patience for reckless cops. As the duo races across Manhattan solving increasingly elaborate puzzles, they slowly realize Simon's game is a smokescreen for an audacious heist that will shake the city to its foundations.

Director John McTiernan returns to the franchise he launched, delivering a Die Hard that trades the confined spaces of Nakatomi Plaza for the entire island of Manhattan as its playground. The chemistry between Willis and Jackson crackles with tension and humor, making them one of action cinema's great odd couples. Irons brings Shakespearean menace to the role of Simon, a villain with very personal reasons for targeting McClane. McTiernan orchestrates spectacular set pieces—including a runaway taxi careening through Central Park and a subway train collision—while screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh weaves clever puzzles throughout. Michael Kamen's pulsing score propels the relentless 131-minute thrill ride that redefined what Die Hard sequels could be.
