Looney Tunes: Back in Action at The Revival House Perth

When Daffy Duck gets fired from Warner Bros. for demanding equal billing with Bugs Bunny, he teams up with studio security guard and aspiring stuntman D.J. Drake (Brendan Fraser) for a globe-trotting adventure that's pure cartoon chaos. What starts as an unemployment mishap quickly escalates when D.J.'s father—a famous movie star who's actually a top-secret spy—gets kidnapped by the nefarious ACME Corporation and their diabolical chairman (Steve Martin in delightfully over-the-top form). Now Daffy and D.J. must race around the world to find the mythical Blue Monkey diamond before it falls into the wrong hands, with Bugs Bunny and studio executive Kate Houghton (Jenna Elfman) reluctantly joining the madcap quest.

Director Joe Dante delivers a love letter to classic Looney Tunes that brilliantly blends live-action and animation, channeling the anarchic spirit of Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng while stuffing every frame with visual gags, pop culture references, and cameos galore. The film takes our heroes from the Warner Bros. lot to Las Vegas, Paris, and the African jungle, with legendary characters like Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, and the Tasmanian Devil causing mayhem at every turn. Unlike sanitized modern reboots, this embraces the Looney Tunes' classic slapstick violence and absurdist humor, reminding audiences why these characters have endured for generations.

Original format and audio experience of this film faithfully reproduced by The Revival House. Presented in 35mm film unless noted otherwise.
