Benedict Moleta album launch plus new collaborations
with special guest Elk Bell

Benedict Moleta returns to Perth to launch his tenth album, entitled Walking Along in the Sun.
Benedict's first album was released twenty years ago and was all solo songs. Since then his albums have included collaborations with lots of singers and musicians, but the new album goes back to basics - all solo, just Benedict singing and playing. Familiar themes of mortality and friendship are in there, along with skateboarding history from the golden age of the early 1990s.
There will be two sets on the night.
In the first set Benedict will play songs from the new album.
In the second set Benedict will be joined by collaborators to play new and old songs, including the recently-released seven-piece cover of Manic Monday (by Prince/The Bangles).
Guests on stage throughout the night will include Elk Bell, Hayley Beth, Julian Bolleter, Carole Katz, Cameron Sim and Scott Tomlinson.
Photos by Darren Clatyon will be projected throughout the night. Darren has documented Benedict's music and collaborations for more than twenty years.
The night will be opened by Elk Bell.
