THE HUMAN HIGHWAY
Playing the music of Neil Young
For the past 10 years WA’s Human Highway have been selling out their
Neil Young show at premier metro and regional venues Freo.Social, The
Duke of George and the Quarry Amphitheatre.
In 2025, they celebrate the 80th birthday of one of the most influential and
idiosyncratic artists of our time with a spring tour that takes in their first
tour of Victoria, as well as venues in regional WA and the Perth metro area.
Fronted by long time lovers of Neil Young, David Hyams and Rose Parker,
the 6-piece lineup is equally adept at capturing the essence of Young's two
primary styles: from gentle folk and country, to the electric guitar driven
rock of Crazy Horse Audiences have also been stunned at their renditions
of pieces from the ‘Harvest’ album recorded with the London Symphony
Orchestra, such as “A Man needs a Maid”.
This is not just another tribute show but a rare chance to hear the great
man’s music reproduced with authenticity and passion, while allowing the
virtuosity of some of Australia’s finest musicians to shine. Featuring songs
from the beginning of Young’s solo career in the late '60s through to the
21st century, the Human Highway dig deep into Neil’s eclectic sweep of
over 1000 songs, which include material from early bands Buffalo
Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
Venue testimonials:
The Human Highway (WA) dropped by to perform songs penned by Neil Young. Not only did the band
sell out the gig but they absolutely nailed their 2 fabulous sets. The audience were blown away by
David Hyams, Rose Parker and the band. Authentic versions of the best of Neil Young received one of
the most enthusiastic demands for encore we have seen in the Juke Joint!

"Darwin Entertainment Centre hosted The Human Highway for a recent performance to a very
engaged audience. Some were heard commenting that if they had closed their eyes, they would have
believed they were listening to the great man himself! Staff received feedback as to the authenticity
of the performance and the great respect for the essence of the music. Everyone left with a smile on
their face! "

“The talent and authenticity of the group was outstanding, and we received many comments of
congratulations and praise for the night’s entertainment. I would not hesitate in recommending the
Human Highway to other venues as both a popular appealing concert and a night of quality
performance.”
