Moonstruck at Revival House Perth

Snap out of it and fall in love with Norman Jewison's enchanting 1987 romantic comedy! Cher delivers her Oscar-winning performance as Loretta Castorini, a widowed Italian-American bookkeeper living in Brooklyn who agrees to marry the safe, dependable Johnny Cammareri (Danny Aiello). But when Johnny leaves for Sicily to care for his dying mother, he asks Loretta to invite his estranged younger brother Ronny (Nicolas Cage) to the wedding.

What should be a simple gesture ignites an unexpected and passionate romance that turns Loretta's carefully ordered world upside down. Cage brings volcanic intensity to the role of Ronny, a tortured baker who lost his hand in an accident he blames on his brother. Their electric chemistry creates one of cinema's most memorable love affairs, built on grand gestures, operatic emotions, and the magic of La Bohème.

Olympia Dukakis won an Oscar for her supporting role as Loretta's wise mother Rose, while the entire ensemble captures the warmth and authenticity of Italian-American family life. The film's celebration of love, family, and following your heart resonates with timeless charm.
