The legendary Jon Spencer returns this Spring for his first Australian shows in a decade. Experience the underground NYC icon and primal rock ‘n’ roll preacher with his explosive new band as they rip through Spencer Sings The Hits, intersected with some Pussy Galore, helpings of the HITmakers, and immersed with Blues Explosion PLUS hear some morsels from new album Sick of Being Sick! (out Sep 6th on Bronze Rat Records).
Joining them on this epic bill is Magic Dirt, the legendary female-fronted alternative rock band of the ’90s, formed in 1991 out of the dust and noise of the industrial town of Geelong. Renowned for their inimitable chemistry and now-legendary high-energy live shows, the band has built a fiercely loyal fanbase and carved out an enduring legacy in Australian rock. With countless awards, nominations, major festival appearances, national tours, and critical acclaim, Magic Dirt remain one of Australia’s most iconic and quintessential alternative bands.
