The Kickons Set to Electrify with Debut EP Make Believe and Launch Shows Across WA

In a monumental stride for the Perth music scene, indie-rock band The Kickons announce the release of their highly anticipated debut EP, "Make Believe." This six-song collection promises to capture the raw energy and emotional honesty that fans have come to love.

"In 'Make Believe,' we aren't just sharing songs—we're offering an unfiltered glimpse into who we are and what we're striving to become,” said Matthias Gault.

The release of "Make Believe" marks a pivotal transition for The Kickons from local buzzmakers to serious contenders in the indie-rock arena. Having built their reputation on electrifying live performances and organic social media traction, including winning RAC Limelight, they now deliver on those promises with this cohesive body of work.

To celebrate this milestone, The Kickons will be hitting stages across Western Australia with three EP launch shows scheduled in Scarborough, Margaret River, and Maylands. Each performance aims to encapsulate their signature reckless yet heartfelt style.

For these five hometown friends, creating each track was less about polished perfection and more about authenticity born out of late-night jams amidst Perth’s vibrant scenes.

“We’ve always tried to keep it honest—even if that meant keeping it messy,” said drummer Thomas Quick. “We hope this record speaks to people our age who are tired of the polished version of life and just want something that feels more real.”
