Perth Folk and Roots Club are supporting some of the best blues musicians in Perth to perform live for Mothers Day Blues on Sunday 11th May 2025 at the Lyric’s Underground, Basement, 22 Lyric Lane, Maylands.

‘Perth Folk and Roots Club is proud to be welcome to Kerry B Ryan Blues Experience, and Ramshackle Blues & Beyond to perform at the Lyric’s Underground in Maylands‘, said Keith Anthonisz, President of the Perth Folk and Roots Club.
Frequently described as a must-see artist for true blues lovers, Kerry B Ryan with his band The Blues Experience brings a wealth of experience to the stage, having performed live for over 35 years and the band always consists of some of Perth's finest musicians. He has also written, arranged and recorded and released 3 of his own original blues CD’s , which have received airplay across Australia and the USA and Europe. Kerry draws his inspiration from a wide range of influences such as Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Albert King, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King , Lonnie Johnson and Robert Johnson, to name a few. He always gives his audiences a stellar performance, playing from the heart and always keeping an open mind to allow the music to guide him. His guitar solos are an exciting thing to witness. Ram Shackle Blues and Beyond are the guitarists Tony Shergold and John Howard who share a love of blues, blues rock and country rock. They perform classics such as Chitlins Con Carne (Stevie Ray Vaughan), The Thrill Has Gone (BB King), Cheque Book (The Hamsters), Sweet Little Lisa (Dave Edmonds) along with a large helping of classic Chicago Blues. Tony Shergold is a top gun professional guitarist, bass player and singer/songwriter who has played in some of Perths finest bands since the “nineties” including The Sheds, The Hot Biscuit Band (Rick Steele) and his own band Off Grid to name but a few. Tony is also an acclaimed producer (Richie Pavledis & Hot Biscuit Band albums) and has written, recorded and released two 12 track albums of his own.
