Rhiannon Bouwhuis - 6pm

Rhiannon Bouwhuis is a versatile vocalist, musician and songwriter, soon to graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Voice from WAAPA. Inspired by artists such as Missy Higgins, Sara Bareilles, Taylor Swift, Adele and Laufey, her music blends heartfelt emotional storytelling with a modern sound. Rhiannon’s love for music began by singing at church and grew as she began to learn violin and guitar. Exploring her cultural roots, she has played traditional Celtic music with her school Celtic Band and the Classic Sounds Fiddle Group. At 14 years old she discovered her love for songwriting and was twice a finalist of the Fairbridge Quest competition.

During her time at WAAPA, Rhiannon has further explored her vocal craft and musical skills with the direction of her tutors. She has gained experience through performances and masterclasses with industry professionals such as Ben Abraham, Fatai and Mama Kin. She is excited to be bringing her original songs and arrangements to life on stage at the Rosemount, collaborating with an incredibly talented group of musicians and friends. Rhiannon has experience teaching music in various schools and also privately. Post-graduation, she looks forward to expanding her musical career experiences and sharing her love of music with others.

Leah Cusma - 7:05pm

Leah is deeply grateful to invite you all to her end-of-year recital at the Rosemount Hotel on October 31st. This recital represents a final, heartfelt showcase of her journey at WAAPA, and she’s excited to share it with you in such a special setting. Leah’s performances reflect her most personal experiences and emotions. With a style that intertwines vulnerability with ever-growing power, she aims to be a voice for others who may not have found theirs yet, speaking for them through her music. Inspired by the raw, emotive music of Raye, Sara Bareilles, and many others, Leah infuses her performances with a sincerity that invites you to connect on a deeply personal level. Leah hopes to create an environment where worries can be set aside and where the music provides relief from everyday struggles. This recital is intended to be a space of freedom and acceptance—a place where you can feel unburdened and fully immersed in the moment.

As she presents her original compositions, Leah is committed to offering an experience that is both carefree and non-judgmental. She wants this evening to be a safe space for genuine expression and emotional connection, where everyone can come together and enjoy the transformative power of music. Leah can’t wait to share this intimate experience with you. She is thrilled to have you join her on this journey and hopes the performance brings you as much joy, comfort, and growth as it has brought her in preparing it.

Lachie Hanley - 8:10pm

Please join Lachie Hanley for his graduation recital, as he performs a variety of songs that have helped shape his journey as a musician. With heavy influences of psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, and electronic music, Lachie will be bringing everything to the table to create a performance that is both innovative and captivating. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience his unique sound and celebrate the end of a five-year journey.

Adam Lindsay - 9:15pm

Join Adam Lindsay at his Graduation Recital where he will be performing songs that showcase his musical journey thus far. Drawing from his love of Rock, Funk, and Jazz Fusion, Adam will be bringing you along for the ride as he weaves his way through the vast tapestry of contemporary music. Be sure to come down and help bring Adam's WAAPA journey to a close!
