Glenn Musto returns to Perth to launch his new album Unravel. Fresh from a six week tour of Europe, Glenn will be playing songs from his new solo album, as well as songs from his twenty year catalogue playing in bands Showbag!, The Nordeens and College Fall. There will be special guests on the night, and the line up also includes the wondrous New Phono, Chris Hann (Wooden Fische, Anodyne 500) and Elk Bell.

The album:
Glenn Musto’s debut solo album, Unravel, is a pilgrimage. It begins with anticipation and excitement for a huge life change, exiting the city to dwell in the forest. Coveting spiritual discovery, self-acceptance and deeper human connection, the journey begins profoundly, but the terrain soon becomes rocky and impenetrable. His relationship with the world, his loved ones and his own mind, begin to unravel.

Raw, beautiful, and without leaning on wit and metaphor to illustrate deeper meaning, there is little left to the imagination in this compelling, at times beautiful and at times harrowing, album.

Both vulnerable and powerful, Glenn’s music is described as acutely emotional and spiritual, often exploring stories of connection, trauma and healing, through a rotating lens of indie, folk, rock and lo-fi genres.

“A harsh-lit mirror of trauma, regret and difficult decisions, these intense musical offerings combine with Musto’s penchant for a melodic hook, balancing the shadows with slithers of hope and light.’’ PITCHFORK
