Night 1 – Friday August 23
Perth's revered Master of Modern, melodic progressive metal, Chaos Divine, are set to ignite the Stormrider stage this August. With a rich history spanning more than 15 years and four studio albums, the band has become a relentless force in the global metal scene, known for their intricate soaring melodies, powerful riffs, and captivating live performances.
Fans can expect an electrifying showcase of Chaos Divine's entire discography, as well as a suite of tracks from their most recent critically acclaimed album Legacies. Renowned for their ability to seamlessly blend technical prowess with emotive storytelling, Chaos Divine promises a transcendent musical journey that will captivate both loyal fans and newcomers alike. As the band gears up to enter the studio to record new material in 2024, this show will be a celebration of the band’s history and a showcase of the band’s evolution through the years.
Hybrid Nightmares is a ferocious Black Metal force emerging from the shadows of Melbourne. With a soundscape that fuses the unrelenting ferocity of Black Metal with intricate progressive elements, they have established themselves as harbingers of dark, atmospheric intensity.
Their latest opus, ‘Woeful Inertia’ plunges listeners into a maelstrom of blistering riffs, haunting melodies and malevolent lyrical themes. Renowned for their theatrical live performances and unwavering dedication to their craft, Hybrid Nightmares continue to reign supreme in the Black Metal underworld, invoking the very essence of chaos and despair. This will be their first Perth show in 5 years.
Melbourne's Black Majesty are without doubt one of the country's most successful Power Metal exports. With 7 studio albums, appearances on some of the world's biggest Metal festival stages, European headline shows, appearances in Asia and domestically with the likes of Helloween, Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Saxon, DragonForce & many more, we are pleased to welcome Black Majesty back to Stormrider to showcase a set celebrating over 20 years of Power Metal which is not to be missed!

Boasting a scorching triple guitar attack and a swag of pedigree Perth musicians, Undeniable will make their earth shaking & much anticipated live debut at Stormrider Heavy Metal Festival 2024.

Night 2 – Saturday August 24
Silent Knight continue to go from strength to strength with an amazing 2024 so far. Opening shows domestically home for Blind Guardian, Unleash The Archers & Paul Dianno, a debut UK tour & returning to Germany to play Headbangers Open Air Festival, the boys are on a high and promise to deliver another set of relentless Power & Speed to close out Stormrider Heavy Metal Festival 2024!
With a career spanning 4 acclaimed albums 3 EPs and countless tour cycles both domestically and abroad, Orpheus Omega has cemented themselves as one of hardest working and entertaining mainstays of the Australian Metal scene.
Beginning with a sound forged along the lines of the great Gothenburg Melodeath era, the band has since grown further and further into a unique entity feeding off each member’s individual personality and lives bringing them to touring with the likes of Insomnium, Trivium, At The Gates, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Lacuna Coil and many more. The continued evolution of Orpheus Omega has kept the band relevant and ever growing and in 2024 brings with it the release of their most ambitious album yet, ‘EMBERGLOW’ through Wormhole Death Records.
Following a multi-year tour that saw the band bring their Heavy Metal Power to Europe, Canada and the USA, Australian heavy metal band Elm Street finally return to Perth in support of their third album: 'The Great Tribulation'.
A soundtrack for troubled times, or a charred mirror reflecting the state of the world today, 'The Great Tribulation' provides commentary on the darker side of life, and pairs it with their most hard-hitting music to date.
There is no doubt that album number three from the thunder from down under will be well received by old fans and new alike and set a very high benchmark for what to expect in the future. If you are a fan of classic powerhouses like Helloween, Judas Priest, HammerFall, or Manowar, get ready for the ride of your life!
It’s not often we have the same band back 2 years in a row (the exception being our own Silent Knight) but last year the show stopping set from Buried Shallow made such an impact that we had to have them back for 2024! These modern Groove/Deathcore heavyweights are a true rising force in the Australian Metal scene and have since released an EP, gained some touring experience and are teasing more new songs to debut live, we are certain these guys are out for either blood or victory, whichever comes first. Be ready.
Those who attended Stormrider 2021, or more recent Perth based metal festivities, will be no stranger to Woewarden and their immersive and oppressive form of atmospheric Black Metal. Influenced by the likes of Emperor, Silencer and At The Gates (just to name a few), the band features harrowing melodies contrasted against maniacal vocals. Having just returned from a successful tour of Tasmania courtesy of Grindhead Productions, Woewarden is ready once again to unleash sonic despair on Stormrider.
Vanta were formed in 2019 and surged forward in 2023 with their debut EP, "Gravemind." They blend melodic death metal with Swedecore, creating a unique sound through blistering riffs, haunting melodies, groovy thrash rudiments, progressive elements, and blast beats. "Gravemind" showcases their creativity, flexibility, and mastery in the metal scene and are the perfect opening act for Night 2.
Band From Hell; “the band your mum warned you about” are the cover band afterparty entertainment for Night 2 and will keep the good vibes flowing until your exhausted head hits the pillow and rounds out Stormrider Heavy Metal Festival 2024, making it the best weekend of your year!
