Praaz is a collective of established musicians of various genres that've come together to play a unique blend of cross-cultural music.
This band consists of multi-talented musicians which helps in creating a unique sound for almost every individual track.

The band is led by Praaz (Praashekh Borkar) who is predominantly an Indian Classical Sarod player and features the Sarod and the Esarod, (an instrument he invented), as the main lead instrument. Praashekh has been performing the Sarod for over 27 years and has played at many major venues and festivals globally.

We have Julian Silburn on the Didgeridoo who has been taught by Noongar elders and Yolngu elders from the Arnhemland. Julian also plays the acoustic guitar, crystal bowls and misc percussions in this band.
On drums we have the brilliant composer and multi-instrumentalist Tao Issaro. He also joins us on the Nagada Dhol drum and Jaw harp.
We have Dev Venugopal on Bass guitar, Konnakol south indian vocal rhythmic percussion and indian vocals.
On Jazz Keyboards we have Pascal Chane-Yin.
On Tabla, Darbuka, Handsonic and side percussion we have Shyamjith.

This contrasting mix of musicians create a unique blend of world music style that fuses music from Indian Classical, Arabic, Folk, Celtic and Jazz music.
