After Dark Music [ADM] is back once again with our second installment of the SUB:MERGE series at 201 Below in the heart of Fremantle. This event will feature nothing other than a Funktion One sound system for pure bassweight.

ADM, established 2015, features a back catalog of local and international artists representing creativity and innovation while pushing a deep take on the 140 tempo. Perhaps no artist represents ADM musically as well as Split, all the way from Germany. Split has had countless releases on ADM, including absolute classics such as Ganja Anthems, Demon Choirs and Organic.

The sounds featured in Split's production are truly versatile, and set him apart from the vast majority of artists in the genre. His tracks range from the volatile and gritty, to those with a strong dubwise influence. Further still, you might also expect to hear a focus on warm analogue textures in one piece, while another will explore the use of real instruments such as an upright bass, placing an often overlooked sound into a radically different context.

Join us on July 20th at 201 Below. Come and welcome Split on his Australian debut, and witness the inventiveness, originality and talent on display. Support includes a variety of local acts also at the forefront of the 140 sound. This will be nothing other than straight up essential listening.
